Jasmyn has spent countless hours with her kôhkom learning various aspects of Cree culture and is passionate about sharing these teachings with others and believes culture is a vital part of her identity as a Plains Cree and Métis woman. She is a local teacher, mother and entrepreneur, creating ribbon skirts, moss bags, moccasins, teepees and beaded earrings.
Come join us in our Martensville shop for an evening of learning and open dialogue in a safe and positive space as Jasmyn shares teepee teachings and hosts a Q & A. You can also join us virtually!
Session 1 Details:
Monday, January 10th, doors open at 6pm with the unique opportunity to shop moccasins and ribbon skirts by Jasmyn @nohkum_okiskimowina and beaded earrings by Kayla @matriarchmade as well as exclusive sales on Belong apparel. Teepee Teachings begin at 7:00pm live (and on zoom) at 1-117 Centennial Dr N in Martensville.
A portion of each entry fee will be donated to Reconciliation Saskatoon and additional donations may be made as well on site.
